THEATRE
RAVAL
The Teatre Raval has existed for almost a hundred years, located on Sant Antoni Abad street, next to the Parish of Carmo, between Plaça del Padró and Mercat de Sant Antoni, in an open and dynamic neighborhood, full of life and contrasts.
It was built in 1930, during the Republic, and since then, it has hosted various artistic projects related to the performing arts. However, it was not until July 2025 that we acquired it and began the comprehensive renovation that has turned it into a modern theatre with high technical endowments, additionally constructing a second hall and a bar. A theatre prepared to host a wide range of performances between its two halls:
The Tadeusz Kantor Hall, a main floor and an amphitheater with 195 seats, where you can find the necessary proximity and distance to fully enjoy the performing arts and music. We consider the existence of a theatre of this capacity to be important, as they are much needed but quite scarce in the city of Barcelona.
Along with the large hall, there is a second space with 50 seats, the Espai Damià Huguet, where you can enjoy small-format performances and concerts in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
The theatre was built in 1930, during the Republic. In July 2025, we initiated a comprehensive renovation of the building, which will have lasted more than ten months and will have transformed the parish theatre that it had been until now into a modern, highly qualified theatre at a technical level, prepared to host almost all kinds of performances, particularly medium-format ones that are so needed yet scarce in Barcelona.
